Unfortunately everybody in Egypt understands that when there is an appointment at 7 pm, it means in fact 7.30 pm, or any other hour. Always there are excuses, the traffic most of all, the work, etc.

In another article we mentioned that man is different from the animals because he learned how to manage his consciousness through time and to project his imagination towards the future, acquiring thus the capability to plan. Therefore the management of time is something proper and exclusive to man, for it allows to meditate about the past and the future, and it is what impulses man towards eternity, making him to create works that remain along time and in the memory of other men, it is also what causes man to think about his destiny beyond death.

A good time management allows to achieve great plans, and there is not better plan for this life than the other life. To renounce to manage time is to renounce to the human condition, it is to return back to animal levels. Besides, my dear friend, I would like to tell you something else: it is selfishness and vanity.

You have to know that when you come to my house, I begin to prepare everything for you, I clean and I place order, I change my clothes, and perfume the ambiance specially for you. I think about the things that I can offer to you, and in the nice conversation we can have, or in the teachings that I can give to you or that I will receive from you. And I smile thinking in the good time we will have together. My heart becomes joyful and ready, and even I think about the best words to welcome you.

When the watch reaches the right hour everything is ready and also my soul. The minutes pass by slowly, and you did not arrive, I become restless, I ask myself what could happen, and still I am waiting, my good humor begins to disappear, I walk from one side to another of my house, and still the time is running, I become bored and lose my interest, and even I am start thinking that I am wasting my time. This situation changes my humor into bad humor.

Finally you appear, or perhaps not. But it is not the same, when you knock the door I have to make an effort to show my smile and to forget that you made me to wait for nothing, I try to accept your excuses, many times before repeated, because many times you did the same, in fact even I am not listening what you say, and I am trying hard not to think that you are selfish, and that you do not have in account the feelings of the others, and that you are very vain, for you think that the world only revolves around you and that your problems and time are unique.

Unfortunately, a man that does not know how to manage his time, is less than a man and becomes closer to animals. In yourself is the capability to take the right decision: do you want to form part of the number of the human-animals, of which there are many types, or do you want to belong to the world of the true human beings? So, if you want to be a Man be punctual.
