The End of the World is Coming!

The End of the World is near, and always we have reasons to believe it: each time it is something different, some years ago the reason (?) was that the end of the millennium was close, another time because a certain comet past by, or because appeared strange signs in the sky, or because it has been predicted in the Mayan calendar, or it was the result of a new interpretation of the prophecies of Nostradamus.

So, the case is that we are always at the verge of the End, many times... And for sure the end will come, to each of us, without possible escape, because we all have to die, that is for sure, lonely or in company of millions, which does not make you more happy, for death is death, khalas!, finito!, done!.

Then, why this maniac attitude, why this sick passion to talk about the coming last day. I think that the topic of the End of the World is the GREAT EXCUSE. We have a life full of problems; one after the other. If we have a moment of peace is just waiting for another problem to come. And the great, great, big, "XL" size problem that we have is... that we do not know how to coexist with the daily obstacles, we do not know how to be happy with ourselves.

So, we need a halt to all this, we need desperately to find a way to escape from our responsibilities, and here comes the solution: the fancy catastrophe, the great excuse, because if everything collapses I do not need to justify myself, and in the middle of the chaos my personal chaos will disappear too.

Sorry to say, but the world does not revolves around each one of us, nor even around the human beings as a collective group, nor even around the Earth, which is a second class planet within a third class solar system, situated in a distant arm of our galaxy, which is just one among billions.

If the End of the World comes, probably will be just an anecdote in the middle of the Universe, a little particle of dust erased from the beautiful firmament. So, let's place proportions to our problems, they are not so big, neither small, they just have human size. They are "designed" for us, so let's work seriously with them, and most of all let's learn to enjoy life.
